"The Giant" Killed During '09 Season 180 7/8"
Trail Cam and
Velvet Hunt Plan...(June 20th, 2011 update)
Trail cam pictures from 2010 indicate that
the prime time to capture the size of the "aged
buck" herd on Snipe Creek properties is around
the middle of July or even a bit later.
Prudent to the 2011 VELVET hunt plan, is to
aggressively "corn" for the 2011 "velvet stands
and hunt plan" around the first week of July and
"corn" sets continuously until the VELVET season
opens.
This VELVET hunt plan will locate corn on all of
the VELVET hunt stands, a lengthy 2 months
before the hunt at a cost of about 200.00 per
stand location (corn = 8.00 per bag), The
prolonged "corned" sets will greatly increase
the odds of seeing and killing "relaxed" aged
deer. Pics from the corn sites will be posted to
the web site and on FB.
The very few cams out so far have confirmed that
the abundant and pristine food plots of chicory
and clover are attracting and holding many herds
of whitetails to and on the Snipe creek
properties.
Those of you that have hunted at Snipe in years
past can surely confirm and attest at the beauty
and effectiveness of Snipes wildlife management
skills, and consistent manipulation of deer to
desired stand locations.---Carl---

Outfitter Note:
Very important knowledge/facts about hunting
Kentucky Matures
- Most important !!!!! Most all outfitters
will charge you for bucks under a certain
size. This is the worst policy an outfitter
can have for the big buck hunter.........The
policy is likely to cost the hunter a buck
of a lifetime!
Mature bucks do not offer a very long shot
window.......5 seconds or less...when a
hunter pauses to evaluate a shot which might
result in a fine ($$) ....more often than
not the very shot / opportunity for a mature
that was paid for is lost. When free range
mature bucks are spotted ..you must shoot
without pause. Snipe Creek's policy is : if
you see solid bone and big body...think of
one thing....getting those cross-hairs in
the box at the first opportunity and pull
the trigger! Very few mistakes are ever made
with this policy and a lot more dreams are
fulfilled. Hunters that book hunts with any
outfitter that has a penalty fee, are at a
huge disadvantage; odds of success ARE
REDUCED by a very large amount. Snipe Creek
will never have a penalty. Its insane!
- Most outfitters book October 16th-31st.
These 2 weeks are a dead time for bucks to
moveā¦period! Bucks are resting for the rut
and disappear almost completely from the KY
woods.
The above "Ky Whitetail Facts" are
non-disputable in a 100% free range
whitetail hunt. The above facts are critical
to acknowledge and understand. Such
understanding leads to a Kentucky deer
hunting plan that will create the greatest
odds at putting mature white tails in front
of you and in the "kill" section of this
website.
-
NO HUNTS OFFERED!!! ---> October 17th
to November 11th. <---NO HUNTS
OFFERED!!!
I am the only Kentucky outfitter that does
not bow hunt the 26 days (October 17th to
November 11th) before the rut rifle season.
Not hunting those dates creates a rare and
sound opportunity to hunt the rut rifle
season with unpressurized whitetails ;
vastly increasing the odds (while on stand)
at seeing more estrous does and rutting
bucks.
Kentucky Bow hunts are highly demanded
between October 17th to November 11th. Those
hunts are offered at cheaper prices and many
bow hunters seek the so called Ky bow rut
hunts. These hunts offer low to marginal
opportunity at quality bucks and move
protective does with fawns to other "habitat
zones".
Bow hunting October 17th to November 11th --
MAKES FOR A SIGNIFICANTLY DIMINISHED
NOVEMBER RUT RIFLE HUNT.
NOT bow hunting October 17th to November
11th -- CREATES A SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCED
NOVEMBER RUT RIFLE HUNT.
At Snipe Creek we constantly and
methodically implement many tactics that
manipulate the odds at increasing the deer
sightings and mature buck kills.
The result constantly ranks Snipe Creek as
the number 1 Kentucky outfitter in the
state. No hype , just a solid and prudent 12
month hunt plan that consistently puts a lot
of aged mature deer in front of hunters.
